7th May   10 a m  Tanks in Town

The May Day parade is fast approaching and on the 7th of May there is the final dress rehearsal.

Normally only a few people receive an invitation to watch the Red Square event on the day.  An impressive range on military equipment are displayed. Watching a dress rehearsal is an excellent possibility, seeing everything without the inconvenience of tens of thousands of other spectators on the 9th of May.

Just for fun, I am going to book several  window tables in a cafe on Tverskaya. The tanks will pass at about 10 or 11 but I offer to meet around 09.30h to have a breakfast. This is a social event rather than a guided tour, so everyone will be responsible for their own food and drinks. It would be nice to meet as a group and take in the sight of the Red Army on parade.
