Bolshoi Theatre Workshops

This is a unique and very rare tour to the Bolshoi Theatre workshops.

The Bolshoi has extensive facilities producing all the decorations for the ballets and operas you see on the stage when you come to the Theatre.

This is unusual for a modern theatre, the majority of the others outsource production of decorations and stage constructions to private companies.

The Bolshoi has some amazing pieces of equipment like a machine for levelling the surface of the velvet, or a machine that colours up to 3 kilometres of fabric PLUS a 7 tonne lift!
