The town of Klin is located 70 Km outside of Moscow and we are planning to visit 2 main attractions of this place in 1 day.
Our mini van departs from Moscow at 9am and we plan to be back at 18h.
This town hosts the House-Museum of reknowned Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky. He was the first Russian composer who made the impression internationally, i e he wrote the music for the famous «Swan Lake» and «Nutcracker» ballets and some of the most popular pieces in the currect theatre and concert classical repertoire.
After that we will have lunch at a local restaurant ( not included)
We then will visit the Christmas Ornaments Museusm, learn the history of Christmas decorations production in Klin and participate in a master-class in Christmas figurine decoration.
The Museum is very comprehensive and boasts 12 halls, as the glass production factory (predecessor of the Christmas toys workshops) opened in Klin is 1848. Many local peasants learnt to work with glass and strated to open family workshops. In the museum you will see how their work places looked at the time. You will see the production stages of Christamas magic being born in front of your own eyes!
There is an exposition devoted to the «Nutcracker suite» as Peter Tchaikovsky lived in the town and finished his music for the most famous ballet in the world here, in Klin.
In the end you will participate in a master class and create your own master piece for your Christmas tree the next year!
